Somethings just aren’t worth making and when I find a great deal/product, I’m excited to share with y’all. Especially if Just a Penny!
Everyone who knows me, knows I love crafting. Yet, sometimes it just doesn’t make sense financially.
One of those times was Valentine’s when my sweet husband bought me the pillow cover below on-line for $0.01 + $2.99 shipping. Yes, that’s right, ONE CENT. I was sure it would be awful but it’s actually great! There’s even a zipper that’s plenty big enough to get your pillow cushion in.
Now why would I spend my time or money for supplies to make a similar pillow?
Addition bonus was that I had a brown pillow we’ve been moving for the last 4 houses, and it fit perfectly. I quickly pressed the cover, put the pillow inside and zipped it up. Took under 5 minutes, which included heating the iron.
The “I (heart) You” design was just one of MANY they offer. Most ranged from $0.01 to $2.99. Although the description said up to 6 weeks for delivery, mine arrived in just under one week.
Personally, I prefer to change out the pillow covers best. Actual pillows are 1) expensive and 2) take up a lot of storage space. At this price, it makes decorating for the difference holidays very affordable.
It doesn’t take much to freshen up a room for the different seasons. Since Mark and I are on a kick to repurpose / use items we already have on hand, this pillow was ‘repurposed’ for $3.00 (including shipping). Now that’s the kind of deal we can all use!!!
