Butter Tarts are objects of Canadian Pride that goes back early 1900’s from way up in Barrie, Ontario. A Butter Tart is a flaky pastry shell filled with all sorts of sticky-buttery-goodness.
Ingredients
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins or pecans chopped
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 12 3" store bought frozen tart shells

Instructions
- Stir all ingredients until well blended.
- Fill tart shells 2/3 full.
- Bake 375 for 20 min or until brown.
