Ingredients
- 5 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp red pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup bread crumbs Whole Wheat
- 1 pinch salt to taste
Sauce
- 2/3 Cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder to taste
Servings: loaves
Instructions
- Triple grind the beef adding the dry ingredients if possible, otherwise hand mix the dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed in.
- Shape into loaves, pack VERY tightly.
- Bake 325ºF 45 mins to 1 hour. Temperature should be between 165ºF to 185ºF.
Sauce
- Mix together the sauce ingredients. add garlic powder to taste.
- Let cool a bit and slice very thin.
- Add to warmed pitas, you can add shredded lettuce, tomato, a few mint leaves, some raw, finely sliced red onion, and drizzle or dollop sauce over top.
